Missing plane
Flight 9 NAET, which took off from Pokhara, Nepal to Jomsom at 9.55 am yesterday, lost contact with the control room shortly after. Fear has been raised that the plane may have crashed. The airline said the plane was carrying 4 Indians, 2 Germans, 13 Nepalese and 3 crew members from that country.
Guided pilot's cell phone
Pilot Prabhakar Kimri's cell phone has been called after the plane was reported missing. By then, the pilot had gone foot and ring. Through GPS technology, rescuers have been able to locate the aircraft.
Authorities say the plane may have crashed at an altitude of 14,500 feet at Sano Square Beer in Dasang in the Mustang district. The airline said the plane was carrying Ashok Kumar Tripathi, Dhanush Tripathi, Rithika Tripathi and Vaibhav Tripathi from India.
Tragedy
Air Force spokesman Theo Chandrasekhar Lal Korn said, "A military plane with 10 soldiers rushed to the scene, 14 bodies have been found so far. The search has been intensified."
The Indian Embassy in Nepal said it was talking to the families of the passengers about the accident and that people could call the emergency number + 977-9851107021.
The plane, which was reported missing with 22 passengers on board, has caused a great deal of controversy around the world.
