War

Ukraine has expressed interest in accessing the Internet with NATO. Russia has strongly opposed the move, declaring war on Ukraine on February 24. Fight between the two armies is raging in Ukraine's major cities - Kiev, Kharkiv and Mariupol.

The United Nations say the war has so far killed 925 Ukrainians and injured more than a thousand. As a result of the war, an estimated 3 million Ukrainians have so far settled in countries including Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.

G7 Conference

The G7 summit was held yesterday in Brussels, the capital of Belgium, amidst heavy fighting between Russia and Ukraine. It was attended by leaders of NATO and the European Union. Speaking at the meeting, US President Joe Biden warned that "NATO will retaliate if Russian President Vladimir Putin uses chemical weapons in the war in Ukraine."

The US President has traveled to Ukraine's neighbor Poland today. As the war between Russia and Ukraine continues, Biden's visit to Ukraine's neighbor Poland has been widely reported around the world.

Chemical Bomb

Biden, who has already spoken out about the potential for a chemical bombing, said last week that "Russia accuses the US of possessing chemical and nuclear weapons in Europe, but the possibility of Russia using chemical or nuclear weapons in Ukraine remains clear."

In this context, Biden's warning that NATO would retaliate if Russia used chemical bombs in Ukraine has resonated around the world.
