Solar storm

The Sun, the largest star in the Solar System, is currently in its 11th solar cycle. The considerable heat generated by the fusion of atoms causes the sun to continue to glow. This extreme heat sometimes causes explosions from the Sun's outer surface to push solar particles and electromagnetic waves toward other planets. This is called coronal mass ejection also known as a solar storm.

Researchers have warned that a recent coronal mass ejection outside the Sun could hit Earth today. It has been reported that the climate of space may be affected due to this sun. The storm is expected to reach 20,69,834 kilometers per hour.

CESSI

CESSI, an Indian space research center, said, "Our model fit indicates a very high probability of Earth impact on April 14, 2022 with speeds ranging between 429-575 km/s. Low to Moderate geomagnetic perturbations are expected. Currently, solar wind and near-Earth space environmental conditions are returning to nominal levels."

NASA's Solar Dynamics Laboratory has previously confirmed coronal mass ejection from the Sun's point AR2987. Researchers have warned that this could create a G2-type electromagnetic storm.

Researchers have warned that solar storms could affect satellites and disrupt services, including communications. Astronauts have been on the lookout for reports of a possible solar storm today.
