Opposition parties in Pakistan on March 28 passed a no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan. Following this, on the recommendation of Imran Khan, the President of the country ordered the dissolution of the Parliament of Pakistan. This created political turmoil in Pakistan.
Due to this, the Supreme Court of Pakistan voluntarily registered a case and conducted an inquiry into the matter. At the end of the case the court ordered a referendum on the no-confidence motion again. Accordingly, the vote of no confidence began yesterday. A few minutes before the start, the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of the Pakistani Parliament were said to have resigned. It was reported that they were resigning to avoid a no-confidence motion.
Following this, the judges warned that a contempt of court hearing would be launched in the Supreme Court immediately. Speaker Asad Qaiser has agreed to hold a vote before 12 midnight to avoid arrest, to announce that the judges are ready to hold a contempt of court hearing at any time of the night.
Following this, the referendum was adjourned and adjourned. The Speaker often met and consulted with Prime Minister Imran Khan. Opposition parties have stated they will not run in the by-elections. Parliamentary scenes on the one hand to be like this, on the other hand Islamabad airport was brought under military control. It was also ordered that key Pakistani leaders must obtain proof of government involvement in arriving at the airport. Orders were issued to keep hospitals on standby.
Meanwhile, the vote on the no-confidence motion began at 12.30am after a long drag. The results were announced at 1.30pm. Accordingly, 174 out of 342 Pakistani MPs registered to vote in favor of the no-confidence motion against Imran Khan. Imran Khan was ousted from power.
