Flight MU5735 from China Eastern Airlines was scheduled to depart at 1:15 pm local time and arrive in Guangzhou at 3:07 pm. The plane, carrying 132 passengers, crashed in a mountainous area in Guangzhou province. The accident caused a terrible fire in the mountains.

The video was recorded on a security camera mounted at a mine operating in the area where the plane crashed.

According to FlightRadar24, the plane, which was flying over Wuzhou region, fell from an altitude of 29,100 feet to 3,225 feet in three minutes and crashed into a mountain. The agency said no information was available about the flight after 2.22pm.

"An altitude flight usually takes about 30 minutes to land. Therefore, the details of what happened on the plane will be known only after a detailed investigation," said Chinese officials.

Recovery Mission

The Boeing 737, owned by China's Eastern Airlines, crashed in a densely wooded mountainous area. 25 fire trucks and 117 firefighters rushed to the scene. However, Chinese officials said rescuers had difficulty getting to the crash site.

The Chinese Government has not yet released the number of people killed in the crash. It is feared that the death toll could be higher than the catastrophic fire at the crash site.

The final footage of the plane crash that shook the world has gone viral on social media.
