BIZARRE! Woman Removes Her Belly Button & Gifts It To Her Ex-Boyfriend

When in a relationship, deciding on gifts for your partner can be a daunting task. While some manage to pick out impressive gifts, other go the extra mile and end up doing something that the world hasn't seen before.

In a whole new level of bizarre, a woman from Mexico decided to gift her boyfriend something extremely unique. The woman had her belly button removed and sent it as a gift to her ex-boyfriend.

According to a report in Mirror UK, 23-year-old Paulina Casillas Landeros is a body modification fanatic and has undergone several surgeries in the past. In 2015, she decided to remove her belly button, before giving it as a present to her then boyfriend.

However, she now regrets her decision, and says that her decision to remove her belly button was "reckless" and "impulsive".

"I have always had problems with my family, I was not very close to them at the time. Body modifications fascinated me, there is something very transcending about them. I was very angry, I wanted to cut all unions from everything and everyone. I wanted to dehumanise myself in a symbolic way, I wanted to do something controversial,” said Paulina.

She said that she wanted to give the belly button to her then boyfriend as the ultimate token of love. "I was very much in love with my then boyfriend, he supported me through many difficult times, and he is one of the most influential people in my life. It was something I did in the spur of the moment, we were young and stupid but that’s the way I felt. I put it in a small bag along with a note saying 'I love you', it was very emotional," she said.
