US President Donald Trump Hits Out at WHO for Siding With China on Coronavirus
Home > News Shots > World newsWith the global rise in death due to the deadly Coronavirus pandemic, US President Donald Trump said that the World Health Organization (WHO) has sided with China on coronavirus issue. He further stated that many people are unhappy with the global health agency and also feel that "it's been very unfair" over the matter.
US President Trump made this statements to a Republican Senator Marco Rubio stating that the WHO showed "favouritism" to China. "It (WHO) has been very very much sided with China. A lot of people are not happy about it," Donald Trump told reporters at a White House.
"I think there is certainly a lot of talk that it's been very unfair. I think that a lot of people feel that it's been very unfair," President Trump further added.
Meanwhile, Congressman Michael McCaul, has questioned the integrity of the WHO's director Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, asserting "that there were several red flags in his past with respect to his relationship with China." Taking to social media, Congressman Greg Steube also alleged that WHO has been a mouthpiece for China during the coronavirus outbreak.
With over 21,000 death all over the world due to COVID-19, countries have gone under complete lockdown and have been preventing themselves from all ways and means. India has so far recorded over 600 cases and 14 deaths while the country is under complete lockdown.
