As coronavirus is increasing day by day, many countries are easing the restrictions and lockdown rules that were imposed after the outbreak. As lockdown rules are being eased World Health Organization (WHO) has warned the world and the causes against it.

At a recent meeting, WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said that the countries should be 'extremely careful' when lifting lockdown. He further warned that if precautions are not taken then the situation may worsen and another complete lockdown will be needed.

"The COVID-19 pandemic will eventually recede, but there can be no going back to business as usual. We cannot continue to rush to fund panic but let preparedness go by the wayside. As we work on responding to this pandemic, we must also work harder to prepare for the next one," he said during the briefing.

"Now is an opportunity to lay the foundations for resilient health systems around the world, which has been ignored for too long. That includes systems to prepare, prevent, and respond to emerging pathogens. If we learn anything from COVID-19, it must be that investing in health now will save lives later," he further added.

During his briefing, the WHO chief also listed and shared a series of measures that must be taken before easing any restrictions. He advised that surveillance control and health system should be updated and ready with all measures when the ease takes place.
