In an incident that has spelt a bit of disbelief, a man in Florida who stole $600 worth of cigarettes from a convenience store has been sentenced to 20 years in state prison, reports The Daily Mail.

A jury in Pensacola convicted 48-year-old Robert Spellman of burglary and grand theft after he advanced into the Circle K in the 200 block of West Cervantes Street and took 10 cartons of cigarettes from a locked manager's office in the stock room.

However, since Spellman had committed previous offences, the punishment ended up being harsh for him.
