'Ayurvedic medicine for COVID-19' - US Joins India to Test Formula! - Details
Home > News Shots > World newsJoint Clinical trials for Ayurvedic solutions coronavirus is to be initiated by Ayurvedic practisioners and researchers in India and the US respectively. This announcement was made by the Indian envoy.
Live Mint reported that through a voirtual interation with eminent Indian and American scientists, doctors, and academicians, Indian Ambassador to the US Taranjit Singh Sandhu said that this way botht he countries could come together to fight againt COVID-19.
He said, “Our Institutions have also been collaborating to promote Ayurveda through joint research, teaching, and training programmes. Aturvedic practisioners and researchers in both the countries are planning to initiate joint clinical trials of Ayurvedic formulations against COVID-19.”
“Indian pharmaceutical companies are global leaders in producing affordable low-cost medicines and vaccines and will play an important role in the fight against this pandemic," Sandhu added.
He further added that there are 200 ongoing NIH funded projects in India involving 20 institutions from NIH network. Also several other institutions are engaged to create health care silutions for the same.
These collaborations are to benefir not just India but, the US, as well as billions of others who are in need of vaccination to fight against the global pandemic.
