"Today, in service to our duty to the constitution and to our country, the House Committee on the Judiciary is introducing two articles of impeachment charging the president of United States, Donald J Trump with committing High Crimes and Demeanours," said Jerry Nadler at the US Capitol in the presence of other Democrats including House Speaker Nancy Pelosi.
Nadler quoted Trump's interference in the Ukraine matters and blamed him in his course of speech when he said "exactly what President Trump did when he solicited and pressured Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 Presidential election, thus damaging our national security, undermining the integrity of next election and violating his oath to the American people"
While he was about to end his speech, Nadler said, "We must be clear, no one, not even the president, is above the law". A few minutes before Nadler's impeachment articles, Trump backed himself saying that he did not pressurize Ukraine to interfere in the 2020 election.
