Tourism is a flourishing business, which provides a very significant revenue. However, the tourism office of San Luis Obispo, USA has employed a very unique technique to promote tourism.

San Luis Obispo was given the title of America’s happiest place back in 2011 on "The Oprah Winfrey Show". This happy place is now offering $100 (Rs 7,000) cash to those who book two consecutive nights at a local hotel this winter. This strange deal seems to be a way to attract tourists and fill up the hotels.

To be eligible for the cash back, one must travel to San Luis Obispo between January 1, 2019, to March 31, 2019. To collect the cash, one has to forward the hotel booking confirmation mail. The cash can be collected only at the local chamber of commerce after submitting a promotion confirmation letter, proof of purchase and hotel room key.
