In today's world of funny viral videos, a hilarious footage of a man being slapped in the face by a seal with an octopus has taken internet by storm. New Zealand kayaker Kyle Mulinder has the most bizarre and funny story to tell to his family after what happened.

Padding off the coast in New Zealand, Mulinder got the shock of his life when all of a sudden he had an encounter with a seal and octopus. Muliner was left speechless when the seal slapped the octopus right across his face. The incident was captured by his friend using a GoPro camera, and posted on Mulinder's Instagram

“I was like ‘mate, what just happened?’ It was weird because it happened so fast but I could feel all the hard parts of the octopus on my face, ” he told Australia’s Seven News
