Russian Nurse turns up to work in swimsuit with Transparent PPE Kit, Russians Support Nurse!

Doctors and Health care workers around the world have voiced their concerns regarding the inconvenience they are facing while working with their PPE Kits on. A nurse in Russia, too found it difficult but then the solution she came up with, worsened things for her. 

A Russian Nurse, whose name has not been revealed, was on duty in an all- male COVID19 ward. Due to the unbearable heat, she decided to wear her lingerie beneath the transparent PPE kit

As per Daily Mail’s report, the incident took place in a hospital in Tula, Moscow. The pictures were clicked by one of the patients but none of them made complaints regarding her clothes. 

The authorities punished the nurse and decided to charge her for“non-compliance with the requirements for medical clothing”.

The nurse stated that she did not know that the PPE kits would be completely transparent. She decided to wear her lingerie under the protective gear if the heat becomes unbearable.

According to regional newspaper Tula Pressa’s report, the regional health ministry responded to the event stating that “Employees were reminded of the need to comply with the requirements for sanitary clothing and appearance.”

“While the hospital earlier mentioned that it was lingerie, they later revised that her dress could have been a swimming suit instead,” CNN News 18 cited in its report.

Her move is now being supported by Businesses and Politicians. Some people also said that it was the hospital’s fault that medical practitioners are not getting appropriate protective equipment to work with Coronavirus Patients.
