People living in towns and cities encounter beggars and homeless people on a daily basis. These people find it extremely hard to come by food. They scamper from traffic signals to restaurants in search. Sometimes, they are so desperate that they have to pick off things from the garbage bins to quench their hunger.

But things are starting to look better in some countries.

In North Dakota, United States, when a restaurant manager noticed homeless people picking food from garbage cans, she decided to take a bold move. The manager, Michelle Lussier, began to offer fresh slices of pizza to homeless people for free. She has also put up a note outside the restaurant to let people know about their policy when it comes to the poor people.

“To the person going through our trash for their next meal, you’re a human being and worth more than a meal from a dumpster. Please come in during operating hours for a couple slices of hot pizza and a cup of water at no charge. No questions asked,” the note said.

A photo of the note has gone viral on social media, and people have come out in praise of the restaurant's heartwarming gesture.

“Don’t feel embarrassed if you’re hungry and you don’t want to do what others do, you know stand on the corner for handouts. You feel down about that, you’re more than welcome to come here and grab a couple of slices,” said Michelle.
