Weeks after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have decided to step back from their role as senior royals; recently both have been told they won’t be allowed to use the Sussex Royal label after quitting royal life.

The Queen has banned Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from using the 'Sussex Royal' brand in the future, according to Metro news report. After discussion with royal authorities, they have concluded that the word 'royal' must be removed from the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's branding.

It was Harry and Meghan, who built a website based on the title from their Instagram page. They had also registered Sussex Royal as a trademark internationally on items including clothing, stationery, books and teaching materials. But now, they should no longer be using the term ‘royal’ their merchandising.

After the news went viral, the couple have also agreed to avoid using the 'Sussex Royal' name in their new commercial ventures, The Metro further reports.

Ever since, Harry and Meghan parted ways from Kensington Palace, they recently surpassed William and Kate's Kensington Palace account, with 11.2 million people liking the Sussex Royal page. Currently, they are pursuing 'financial independence' for themselves.
