Rs.11 lakh is a pretty good package for a job that only involves sleeping for a long period of time - 70 days to be exact. Most of us wish we could sleep more. But what if someone is willing to pay you to do just that?
According to a report in India Times, NASA is offering a job with a package of Rs. 11,26,840 to sleep for 70 days straight. Eager to see how the human body adapts to weightlessness, NASA is recruiting test subjects for a 'bed rest' study. The subjects of this study will be regularly monitored and they must live, eat and shower in the same position.
The results are expected to help astronauts in space and those who are bed-ridden on Earth. In a world where people are struggling to get adequate sleep, this might actually be one of the best jobs you have heard of.
Similarly, in 2013, Hotel Finn in Helsinki was hiring people to sleep full-time, in order to test the comfort of their beds. The hotel's aim was to improve their customer experience.
Who wouldn't want a job that entails sleeping? And when you're paid for it, it's a double treat!
