First Time In History! Nasa Astronaut Commits Crime In Space
Home > News Shots > World newsIn a shocking case, the US space agency NASA is in action as they are investigating the first crime committed in outer space.
As per The New York Times report, Astronaut Anne McClain is accused of identity theft. She is accused of improperly accessing her estranged wife’s private financial records while on a sixth-month mission aboard the International Space Station (ISS).
The astronaut’s spouse Summer Worden filed a complaint earlier this year with the Federal Trade Commission after learning McClain had accessed her bank account without permission, reports New York Times.
Meanwhile during court hearing, McClain’s lawyer said the astronaut had done nothing wrong by accessing the bank records; its was something she had done over the course of their relationship.
Currently, NASA investigators have contacted both the women, in regards to this matter.
McClain, who returned to Earth in June, gained recognition and fame for being one of the two women who were selected for a historic all-female spacewalk.
