A bizarre incident took place on 'Who Wants to Be a Millionaire' show, after a contestant was left baffled when he called his wife to use his Phone a Friend lifeline and 'another man' answered the call.

The contestant has been identified as JP Hogan, who is a science teacher by profession and was not sure about a  £16,000 question, so he decided to use one of his lifelines. The question to him was "Which of these days is part of the weekend in Germany?" while the options were A) Donnerstag, B) Mittwoch, C) Sonntag, or D) Dienstag.

Timid and confused Hogan requested the host to call his wife Elizabeth and said, "My wife's auntie has lived in Germany for over 50 years, my wife's been there a few times. My wife, who at different times would probably have been in the audience, is at home as one of my Phone a Friends."

When the number was called, a male voice was heard over the phone. The host then points out saying, "That was another man just answered your phone, relax, relax, it could be completely innocent." After which the call was again made and Elizabeth picked up, the host then introduces himself and asks her, "Can I just confirm that you've got someone there with you?"

Currently, the video of the incident has gone viral on social media. As per reports, it turned out that the male voice was an automated voice saying, "I'm sorry, there is no service." Yes, the host was joking about an affair.

By the end of the show, Hogan went home with £64,000. Watch the video below:
