You know what they say about people with big mouths - they can either talk loudly or go on and on. But a certain Mr Purol puts his enormous mouth to a different use.

In an attempt to set a new world record, he smoked seven packs of cigarette at the same time. Jim 'Mouth' Purol set a record on live television in 2003, as he managed to fit 159 cigarettes in his mouth at the same time and smoke all of them within five minutes. His record has never been broken. And now Purol, aged 66, tried to recreate the feat. But he could only manage to fit it 130 cigarettes.

In order to complete the challenge, Purol fits the equivalent of eight cigarette packets in his mouth, lights them all with a blow torch and uses a fan to blow the smoke away and prevent him from passing out due to excessive smoke inhalation.

Like any sport, Purol prepares himself by squeezing two wine corks in his mouth and biting down on them to reduce the risk of dislocating his jaw. What makes the feat even more amazing is that Purol is a non-smoker.

"I perform the stunts as a statement against smoking. Lookit this picture of me with cigarettes stuffed in my face. This is glamorous? It's disgusting," said Pural.
