In a shocking case, international star Jackie Chan almost drowned while shooting an action scene for his latest action thriller, 'Vanguard'. He disappeared underwater for almost 45 seconds after which the director Stanley Tong burst into tears, fearing the worst could happen.

According to a Today Online report, the 66-year-old star was rescued at the right time and he excitedly recounted his experience seconds after resurfacing. Also, this drowning incident happened in December 2019, but it recently went viral on social media after Chan shared the story himself during the press circuit for the movie.

In the video, Chan is seen riding a jet ski with actress Miya Muqi. As the scene proceeds, the jet ski crashes into a rock and both actors fall from the ski as it flips over-Miya quickly surfaces from the water, but Jackie disappears from sight which makes the crew worried.

In an interview, Jackie recounts, “I pushed, pushed, pushed the jet ski, and as soon as it was out of the way — boom! — the current pushed me out of the water.” He assumed it was his co-star Miya who the staff was searching for.

“It was like a divine spirit saved me,” he recalls. The cast and crew frantically searched for the star; only after 45 seconds Jackie was seen resurfacing behind the rocks. Watch the video below:
