An iceberg, the size of a college campus was spotted on the Antarctic Peninsula margins. The image of the iceberg, however, is far from expectation.

A typical iceberg is usually pictured with sharp prisms and triangles on its surface. However, the aerial image of the iceberg shared by NASA featured a large slab of ice sliced so smoothly that it seemed unnatural. In fact, the iceberg looked similar to an ice cube.

Experts believe that the slab of ice split up in May from Larsen C, a large ice shelf fed by several glaciers on the east side of the peninsula. The discovered iceberg is also called a tabular iceberg. These icebergs are known for their wide and flat, and long, like a sheet cake appearances. Experts stated that such icebergs are normal and occur due to natural phenomena.
