Experts say that the online dating trend and youngsters' focus on career and putting everything else aside are some of the main reason behind youngsters having less sex and babies, reports NPR.

Earlier, people used to go out and meet people at restaurants, bars and parks. However, online dating has changed the trend. People are going out less.

Speaking to NPR, a 23-year-old said "When I was in high school, I really liked that show How I Met Your Mother," these shows "created this sort of image of what it's like to be in your 20s. You know, you're hanging out in bars, and you're just sort of meeting people in these strange ways." he said talking about online dating apps.

"I'm literally applying to jobs at the same time that I'm dating. The similarity between the two is a little, like, horrifying to me," he added talking about how it is al congested and how work and dating is not going full fledged.

Another married 30-year-old researcher said that their job is their No.1 priority.

With youngsters struggling to get their full night's sleep, having frequent sex is not likely happening for many.

Having a child might slow them down and the leave for pregnancy is also hard to handle, they feel. They worry about losing income in the mean time and the expense of child care.  The researcher said that they dreamed of having 3 kids, but now toned down to 1 as it sounds more realistic.

Population age all around the world is taking a bad turn with the world's average age being around 30 years. With lesser children, it will keep getting worse and except for countries with high population, other countries will lack manforce.

With countries refusing to let in immigrants, in the years to come, the vacancies are set to increase.
