US President Donald Trump on Sunday tweeted a video that showed one of his supporters chanting "white power." The tweet was later deleted.

"Thank you to the great people of The Villages," Trump had captioned the video. The Radical Left Do Nothing Democrats will Fall in the Fall."

The video appeared to have taken at The Villages, a Florida retirement community, shows a man driving a golf-cart bearing pro-Trump signs shouting "white power". It also shows anti-Trump protestors shouting back "racist".

Trump tweeted the video around 7.30 am. But as per a report by NDTV, at 11 am the video was taken down from his Twitter account.

Commenting on Trump's action, The Republican Party's only black Senator, Tim Scott called the video "offensive".

"We can play politics with it or we can't. I'm not going to. I think it's indefensible. We should take it down. That's what I think," he said.

Trump's Health Secretary Alex Azar said he had not viewed the video. "But obviously neither the president, his administration nor I would do anything to be supportive of white supremacy or anything that would support discrimination of any kind," Azar said.
