Donald Trump Accuses Sundar Pichai Of 'Illegal Acts'; Google Reacts! Check Tweets
Home > News Shots > World newsU.S President Donald Trump recently attacked Google CEO Sundar Pichai by claiming that Google is working to undermine his re-election campaign. He also cited a disgruntled former employee supporting these claims.
On early Tuesday morning, Trump took to Twitter and launched his latest series of attacks against the tech giant. He wrote about a perceived anti-conservative bias the company has and adversely affected Trump's own re-election campaign.
Not just that, Trump references Kevin Cernekee, a former Google employee who was fired from the company in 2018; claiming that the company plans to interfere in the 2020 Presidential Election.
Despite Trump and Cernekee’s claims, Google argues that these are baseless and false arguments against the company.
Further clarifying over the allegations, Google wrote that "the statements made by this disgruntled former employee are absolutely false. We go to great lengths to build our products and enforce our policies in ways that don’t take political leanings into account. Distorting results for political purposes would harm our business and go against our mission of providing helpful content to all of our users.”
As per IB Times report, Google also stated that Cernekee was fired from the company for reportedly downloading thousands of confidential files against company policy.
