Amid US Death Toll Rise, Trump Blames Hospital For Mask, Ventilators Shortage
Home > News Shots > World newsAs U.S. coronavirus death toll crosses 3,000, President Donald Trump accused hospitals of hoarding ventilators which are in scarce supply across the country. He has also blamed New York for its ventilator shortage.
During a live interview on Fox News, the President claimed that the state was misusing the life saving machines. “I think New York should be fine, based on the numbers that we see. They should have more than enough,” Trump told on Fox & Friends.
“I’m hearing stories that they’re not used, or not used right, but when we find anywhere from two to four thousand that have been sent and aren’t used, you know we’ve done a job,” he added.
Also, Trump at the White House meeting with corporate executives said, “We have some healthcare workers, some hospitals ... hoarding equipment including ventilators. We have to release those ventilators — especially hospitals that are never going to use them," he said.
Looking at the current update, U.S. death toll has climbed 3,000 on March 30, making it the deadliest day in the country.
