#CoronaUpdate: COVID19 Cases Rises To 7 Lakh Globally While Death Toll Cross 34,000
Home > News Shots > World newsDespite countries undertaking lockdown, the novel coronavirus has infected more than 7,23,000 people worldwide and has also claimed over 34,000 lives so far, according to a tally by Johns Hopkins University.
At a recent press conference, US President Donald Trump said that the death rate in the US could reach its peak in the next two weeks and thus extended the social distancing guidelines. Currently, Italy, is one of the worst-hit countries as the death toll continues to rise in several hundred every day.
Highlighting about India's condition, the positive cases has reached 1071 with a death toll of 29 while the country is still under a 21-day lockdown which will end on April 14.
