COVID-19: British PM Boris Johnson’s Health Worsens, shifted to ICU!
Home > News Shots > World newsBritish Prime Minister Boris Johnson was moved to an intensive care unit on Monday after his coronavirus symptoms worsened.
The 55-year-old Prime Minister was admitted to a National Health Servive (NHS) hospital in London on Sunday evening after he showed "persistent symptoms of coronavirus", including a high temperature.
“Over the course of this afternoon, the condition of the Prime Minister has worsened and, on the advice of his medical team, he has been moved to the Intensive Care Unit at the hospital,” a spokesman for his office was quoted as saying by The Hindu.
Downing Street said Mr. Johnson remains conscious at this time and he had been moved to the intensive care unit as “a precaution should he require ventilation to aid his recovery”.
Mr. Johnson has asked Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab, who is the First Secretary of State, to deputise for him.
