Coronovirus: Health Minister Speaks About Condition of Affected Malayali Girl
Home > News Shots > World newsThe first confirmed case of Coronovirus in the country has been traced to a Malayali girl, who is a student in Wuhan. She has been kept at the isolation ward at the Thrissur general hospital in Kerala over the last few days. She complained of sore threat post returning from Wuhan, after which her samples were sent to the National Institute of Virology in Pune, which found the presence of the deadly Coronovirus in her.
Talking about her health condition, Kerala Health Minister K K Shylaja said that she’s stable and added that she is likely to be moved to the Thrissur medical college hospital where isolation wards were set up. The treatment protocols were being determined in discussion with specialists.
Over 1,000 people are being kept in isolation in Kerala. Many students from Kerala are still stranded in Wuhan, cite media reports.
