China Issues Of A NEW Warning! Authorities Announce Third-Level ALERT: Details
Home > News Shots > World newsAmid COVID-19 pandemic and crisis, Chinese authorities have issued a warning about a new plague after a suspected case was reported at a Mongolian hospital.
This new warning is about the bubonic plague; where authorities alert and forbid the hunting and eating of animals that could carry plague. Meanwhile, Chinese authorities have asked the public to report any suspected cases of plague or fever with no clear causes.
According to 7news.com report, the health committee of the city of Bayan Nur issued the third-level alert, the second lowest in a four-level system.
This warning comes after four reported cases of plague from Inner Mongolia last November took place, including two of pneumonic plague, a deadlier variant of plague. A total of 146 people who had contact with them have been isolated and treated at local hospitals, 7news.com further reported.
Highlitening about the bubonic plague - it is known as the “Black Death” in the Middle Ages and is a highly infectious and often fatal disease that spreads mostly by rodents.
As per the World Health Organisation (WHO), bubonic plague can kill an adult in less than 24 hours if not treated on time.
