A chilling footage has emerged where a suicide bomber is seen walking into church and joining the crowd in a Sri Lankan church on Sunday. This horrifying moment was captured before the suicide bomber detonated his backpack in a church which was packed. This video has been circulated from TV9 that shows a young man, dressed in casual shirt and jeans and is seen entering St. Sebastian Church in Negombo.

In total, there were eight co-ordinated attacks at churches and hotels in Sri Lanka on Easter Sunday that killed more than 290 people. Media reports further states that, a survivor of the St Sebastian church attack described the suicide bomber as “very young and innocent”. He said the man touched his granddaughter on the head as he passed his family.

“At the end of the mass they (his family) saw one young man go into the church with a heavy bag. He touched my granddaughter’s head on the way past. It was the bomber," Dilip Fernando told The Sun.

In total, seven suicide bombers launched attacks on churches and five-star hotels, killing hundreds and injuring more than 500 people. The National Thowheed Jamaath (NTJ), an extremist Muslim group, are said to be behind the attacks, with Sri Lankan officials saying they received an intelligence warning ten days before.

Meanwhile during search operation across the country, Sri Lankan police also found 87 bomb detonators at the main bus station in the capital city.
