Watch Video: Alert Cat Saves 1-Year-Old Child From Falling Down The Stairs

All super heroes don't have a cape...and don't have to be two-legged. Sometimes even an animal can come to rescue human when need be. So was this cat from Colombia, who is currently termed as a “hero” on social media. 

This Colombian cat is being termed as a hero after it saved a toddler from falling down a flight of stairs on October 31. The video footage of that moment has gone viral where the 1-year-old child identified as Samuel who can be seen crawling across his nursery floor to the stairway. 

As a flash of lightning, the cat, named Gatubela, ran from the couch towards the baby as it gets dangerously close to the open door. In the video, the cat can be seen leaping from the couch placing her paws on the child's back and pushed him in the opposite direction. 

After pushing the child away, the cat continues to stand near the  stairwell and then crawls the other way.  

This 45-second-long video was shared by DLore Álvarez on Facebook page the Fundación Gatos Bogotanos en Adopción. It is an organization that advocates for rescue and adoption of cats. 

After the video going viral instantly, people shared their views on it and hailed the cat for its alertness.  

According to Hindustan Times report, the incident took place in Bogota, Colombia.
