Breaking: Ethiopian PM Abiy Ahmed wins 2019 Nobel peace prize!
Home > News Shots > World newsEthiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed received the Nobel Peace Prize 2019 on Friday. He won the award for his peacemaking efforts with Eritrea, reports Reuters.
Ethiopia and Eritrea finally restored peace in July 2018 after years. They fought a border war for 2 years from 1998 to 2000 and were longtime enemies.
The prize is worth 9 million Swedish crowns, which is approximately Rs.6,39,18,000. The award will be presented in Oslo on December 10.
