Generally, the world has always been partial in showing love to animals. While pedigree dogs are doted on, stray dogs are considered a threat and are killed. Stray consists of native breeds mostly.

The last time people were so enraged was during pitbull ban in America. But now Australia is a step ahead as they have decided to kill stray cats by dropping poisonous sausages.

According to The Sun reports, the government has made a decision to kill two million feral cats by airdropping frozen, poisoned sausages. These sausages which are being produced by at a factory close to Perth are expected to kill the cats within 15 minutes of consuming the food.

The reason behind the same is that feral cats have been responsible for driving an estimated 20 mammal species to extinction. Though they belong to the category of domestic cats, they live in the wild and forced to kill for survival.

According to CNN, it is believed that cats in Australia kill more than 1 million native birds and 1.7 million reptiles across every day.

However, the decision has sparked massive outrage on Twitter with people slamming the move. They are also asking the government to come up with a better alternative.

While trying to save one species is good, killing another to save one is completely inhuman. The sausages kill cats, but what else will these kill?
