Amid this coronavirus outbreak and crisis, at least 600 Amazon employees have tested positive for coronavirus and six others who were infected are dead.

This news made headlines after a company employee, identified as Jana Jumpp, reportedly told the media.

As per a Republic World report, Jana Jumpp, 59, who works at an Amazon warehouse in Indiana, said that she believes the number is higher but they have at least 600 confirmed cases. She is currently tracking the number of Amazon employees who have tested positive for the virus at different locations and area throughout the US.

Meanwhile, media reports claim that Jumpp gathered information after getting in touch with other employees  across the country and then went on collecting the automated text messages that Amazon sends its employees when someone tests positive at one of its facilities.

Meanwhile, Dave Clark, Amazon's head of operations, stated that this is not the right way to solve the problem. He further asserted that the actual total number of cases is not useful as it's relative to the size of the building.

Earlier last month, hundreds of Amazon employees in the US left work from April 21 to protest against the allegedly unsafe working condition. Also, over 300 Amazon employees have reportedly demanded to work from home after the rise in cases.
