Amazon To Hire 1,00,000 Employees To Deal With Online Orders Amid Coronavirus
Home > News Shots > World newsIn the midst of the coronavirus outbreak, E-commerce giant Amazon.com Inc is all set to hire 1,00,000 warehouse and delivery workers to tackle online orders. The company will also increase the salary of employees because customers have turned to online shopping to meet their needs during the coronavirus outbreak.
The hiring process will take place in the United States. As per a blog post Amazon said that, "We want those people to know we welcome them on our teams until things return to normal and their past employer is able to bring them back."
Meanwhile, earlier in the week, the company said that the customers could experience extended delivery times than usual because of the high volume of orders. Also, the number of coronavirus cases in the United States has surpassed 4,000 on Monday.
With current details and updates, the coronavirus, has led to more than 7,100 deaths globally which has led to mass lockdowns of people.
