In a bizarre incident in Seattle-Tacoma International Airport on Saturday morning, an airlines employee stole one of the planes on the tarmac and took it for a fly without seeking permission. The US Air Force had to use fighter jets to intercept the plane.
The 29-year-old accused stole a 76-seater Q400 turboprop aircraft belonging to Alaska Airlines. The plane reportedly crashed minutes after flying away. Two USAF F-15 jets were in pursuit when the crash took place.
Acts of terrorism have been ruled out. The man who stole the flight is expected to be suicidal. Sheriff Paul Pastor reportedly said, "Most terrorists don't do loops over the water. This might have been a joyride gone terribly wrong."
