According to reports, a 36-foot humpback whale was found in the middle of the Amazon Forest on Friday. The incident ended up as a surprise for wildlife experts and even netizens.

Reportedly, the whale was found on the Brazilian island of Marajo, at the mouth of the Amazon River. According to the Bicho D'agua Institute, an NGO, the whale was already dead when it was washed ashore during high tides.

The whale was about a year old and just a puppy. The discovery of the whale created a stir on social media. Biologists will now take a sample of the whale to ascertain how it died.
