It has been reported that WhatsApp, a popular social networking site, will soon be launching a large file sending facility.

WhatsApp is one of the most used social web sites in the world. This introduced the ability to share conversations, photos and videos, and send location and documents. Then came the facility to make money transactions via WhatsApp. Now, it has been reported that WhatsApp will offer people a new feature to send large files.

Files

Users can only send video and audio files of a certain size through the application. And now, WhatsApp seems to be introducing a new feature that sends files up to 2GB, and it seems that the studies have reached the final stage.

Study

It has been reported that WhatsApp is exploring the possibility of sending 2GB files to users in Argentina and that this service will soon be available to iPhone users.

WhatsApp has come up with this move considering the facility of sending large amount of files on other social web sites. WhatsApp already has the facility to send files up to 100 MB.

Expected Users

The feature, which is currently being tested, is expected to be offered first to iPhone users and then to Android users.

About 200 crore people worldwide are using WhatsApp. Meanwhile, WhatsApp has announced that it will soon be releasing 2GB files.
