Attention Zoom and WhatsApp Callers: Google Launches New 'Breakthrough' Video Call feature! - Check for Details
Home > News Shots > Technology newsWhile millions from across the globe are actively using video calling applications to connect with their work forces, educational institutions, and so on; Google launches a revolutionary feature to monopolise the market.
Enterprise-focused solutions to this pandemic, such as Zoom, have been profiting on a large scale. Apart from Zoom, Facebook and Google have also been trying to capture the market, in order to fulfil the demand for video calling.
Recently, Facebook allowed up to 50 people from Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger to video call one another. Zoom has been limiting free accounts to conduct calls for a limited duration (40 minutes).
Previously, only those with business or education accounts in Google could use this platform. However, Google has decided to open up Google Meet for free.It accommodates around 100 people at a time and also exercises a 60 minutes call duration, longer than Zoom calls.
Despite these, the main and revolutionising feature is a noise cancellation facility that will be rolling out to Android, iOS, and online users. While on call, this feature will ensure that the tapping of the keyboard, the noise of the fan, and so on will be cancelled. The AI is said to remove these sounds and add more clarity to the voice of the person speaking into the mike.
