Facebook To Change Name Of Two Most Popular Apps; Followers Unhappy!

Facebook is all set to change the name of its two most popular apps that are - Instagram and WhatsApp. These two social media apps are most widely and popularly used; they are also the sub-brands of Facebook.

As per Techradar.com reports they have confirmed that, Instagram will soon be known as “Instagram from Facebook” while WhatsApp will become “WhatsApp from Facebook".

Also, the new named will appear in the title for both apps in Apple’s App Store and Google Play. The new names will also be visible on the login pages.

Founder of Facebook, Mark Zukerberg, who bought the photo-sharing app in 2012 and WhatsApp in 2014, since then allowed these two applications to operate as independent entities.

Highlighting over the same, a Facebook spokesperson told 'The Information', that "We want to be clearer about the products and services that are part of Facebook. The social media giant certainly has a grand vision of a connected messaging system between Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp."
