Couple get trapped as car topples into a 10-feet pit near Panruti - Details!

Residents of the area were shocked when a car overturned in a 10 feet deep ditch near Panruti.

Road widening works are in progress at Kondur area next to Panruti in Cuddalore district. Due to this, 10 feet deep pits have been dug in the area. Drainage works are also underway here.

Musharraf and his wife, who hail from Semmandalam, were traveling by car. Unfortunately, the car driven by Musharraf toppled into a ditch. Neighbors rushed to the scene and rescued Musharraf and his wife from the car. The car is then taken out by engines.

Although the car fell to a depth of 10 feet, both Musharraf and his wife survived with minor injuries. However, the car appears to have been damaged.

It is learned that no roadblock has been set up at the road widening site in Kondur. Also, the accident is said to have been caused by the lack of electric lights to assist vehicles traveling at night.

Rescue workers rushed to the scene after the car got stuck in a 10-foot ditch and rectified the situation. Due to this, the Panruti-Kondur road is said to have been congested for some time.

The demand of the people of the area is to set aside a safe road for public transport and carry out road widening works.
