Kamatchi hails from the Tiruvallur area next to Ponneri in the Tiruvallur district. She has two sons and 3 daughters. Kamatchi has been living in the house of her youngest son, Arumugam, who is married.
Temple
Arumugam has asked his mother to pack her clothes as he would take her to the temple and stay there for a few days. Believing this, Kamatchi packed her clothes and left with her son to go to the temple. The two who were traveling in the bus had gone to the new bus stand in Krishnagiri. Arumugam then asked Kamatchi to sit in a place and told her that he would return soon.
Kamatchi, who had been waiting for her abandoned son to return, began to cry, not knowing what to do as he did not return for a long time.

The incident took place at the Krishnagiri bus stand. Following this, Kamatchi described her situation to some of the passengers who inquired what had happened to her. The people had bought food for Kamatchi and consoled her by saying, "We are here". The people then took her to a Government old-age home in Krishnagiri.
Many people are shocked by the incident where the mother was cheated and left by her son at the bus stand, in the pretext of taking her to the temple.
