Tamil Nadu family performs baby shower for their pet dog

The incident of throwing a baby shower function for a pet dog and inviting their relatives have gone viral on social media.

Natarajan hails from Mecheri Indira Nagar, Salem district. He runs a studio in the area. He lives with his wife Susheela and daughter Hemarani. They are proud owners of their male and female pomeranian pets named Heidi and Zara.

As Sarah is pregnant, the family has thrown a baby shower ceremony on the 13th in a grand manner. Invitations were printed and the relatives were invited for the event. In the function, the two dogs are seen placed on two separate chairs and the people who had graced the occasion can be seen putting on bangles to Zara and applying turmeric and sandalwood paste on the dog as it is usually done for a valaikappu ceremony. 

Following this, 5 types of sweet and savory foods were served to the guests. Zara thanked the guests with a return-gift that consisted of packages of betel leaves and betel nuts, plate, glass, comb, tamarind, turmeric and saffron.

This photo is currently going viral on social media. Natarajan said the dogs were bought and bred during the Corona period amidst great difficulties. He says his daughter loves and raises these two dogs.
