It has been reported that more than 20 Pulsar two-wheelers have been stolen in the last two months in Pondicherry. Thus the police were engaged in intensive vehicle search at night. Police were engaged in an intensive vehicle search near the Pondicherry 100ft Road Regional Transport Office last night.

Police arrested two persons who were speeding on a two-wheeler at that time. And when asked about the relevant certificates for two-wheelers, they spoke contrary to precedent. The two suspects were taken to the police station for questioning.

It was found that Shankar (age 38), Silambarasan (age 37) from Villupuram district and the vehicle they were traveling in was stolen. Subsequent investigations revealed that the men, who were traveling from Villupuram to Pondicherry as mercenaries, had targeted and stolen Pulsar two-wheelers at places including Mudaliarpet and Urulayanpet.

Following this, the police confiscated 4 Pulsar two-wheelers stored at Shankar's house. According to the police investigation, the money earned from the work was used for the house and the money for stealing the bike was used for drinking and luxury expenses. Following this, the police filed a case against the two and arrested them.
