Arputham Ammal gets emotional at Behindwoods Gold Medals 2022!

The 8th Behindwoods Gold Medals Awards Ceremony was held on May 21 and 22 in Chennai.

Numerous celebrities attended the Behindwoods Awards on both days. Vetri Maaran, Selvaraghavan, Venkat Prabhu, SJ Suryah, Vignesh Shivan, Nelson, Manikandan, Yogi Babu, Sathish, Sunny Leone, Lijomol Jose, Andrea, Gnanavel, Lokesh Kanagaraj, Jonita Gandhi, Anirudh, Yuvan Shankar Raja, Sai Pallavi, Mohan and Ramya Pandian amongst others graced the two-day event.

Similarly, Arputham Ammal, the mother of Perarivalan, who was recently released after serving nearly 31 years in prison in connection with the Rajiv Gandhi case, attended the Behindwoods Gold Medals Awards. The son, who had been in prison for 31 years, has made every effort to secure his release.

Golden icon of inspiration

Overcoming many obstacles, sacrifices and problems, Arputham Ammal's 31 years of struggle are now over. At the time of Perarivalan's release, many were talking passionately about the sacrifice of his mother Arputham Ammal. It was at this point that Arputham Ammal was awarded the "Golden Icon of Inspiration" on the Behindwoods Gold Medals stage.
