Two women were reportedly died on the spot after crashing with the MTC bus near YMCA ground, Nandanam. The women were driven by a man in a two-wheeler while another motorist clashed when the former tried to overtake the MTC bus. The CCTV footage released show the busy Nandanam road where the victims breathed their last.

It was reported that vehicles started to move fast after the Nandanam signal cleared the traffic. The accident involved two motorists, one with three people including two women and another man in a separate bike. In the video, we could see vehicles passing the road very quickly while an MTC bus heading to Parrys from west Saidapet occupied the larger part of the road.

The man who was later identified as Siva carrying two women drove like a flash and tried to pass the gap between another motorist and the bus. Unfortunately, he lost the balance before colliding with the bus and the adjacent motorist. At that moment, the two women who were sitting at the back toppled and fell under the bus tyres.

Later, it was revealed that the two women, Bhavani and Nagalakshmi died on the spot while Siva who drove the vehicle was severely injured and admitted at the government hospital. The police have reportedly filed a case and began their investigation. It was also reported that the MTC bus driver was arrested by the police.
