CAUGHT ON CAM | Stalker Stabs Woman In Broad Daylight On The Streets Of Tirunelveli
Home > News Shots > Tamil Nadu newsIn a shocking case being reported from the Tirunelveli district of Tamil Nadu, a woman was stabbed several times by her stalker in full public view. The woman succumbed to her injuries at the spot.
The horrific crime was captured on CCTV. According to a report in Mirror Now, the locals who were present at the scene of crime, caught the stalker and handed him over to the police. The man was allegedly stalking the woman for a long time.
The victim has been identified as 20-year-old Mercy, who hails from Kanyakumari. The accused, identified by 25-year-old Ravindran, had known the woman for some time now.
Mercy used to work at a tailoring shop, whose owner claimed that the stalker initiated the conversation a number of times, but she never paid heed to his advances.
The CCTV footage which was confiscated by the police showed how the accused man stabbed the woman in her stomach and to make sure she was dead he again stabbed her in the back. Meanwhile, the locals present at the scene rushed the spot and caught the accused man.
The accused has been booked by police under relevant sections of IPC, and further investigation is underway.
