Chennai: Woman ends life after hubby tells extramarital affairs were no longer a crime
Home > Tamil Nadu news A 24-year-old woman in Chennai named Pushpalatha committed suicide in her home in MRC Nagar on Saturday after her husband Franklin, 27, who works as a watchman tried to justify his extramarital affair by saying that according to the Supreme Court, the same was not considered as crime anymore.
The two had a love marriage and reportedly Franklin started to distance himself from his wife after she fell sick and developed tuberculosis. He is also alleged to have stopped financially supporting her.
Pushpalatha found out from one of his Franklin's friends that the latter was having an affair with another woman, which she desperately urged him to end. However, after Franklin justified his act, the woman committed suicide. Franklin is being questioned further.
