Siva who belongs to Purasaiwakkam got thrashed by his sister-in-law under the Doveton bridge. According to Puthiya Thalaimurai, Siva had beaten his wife Indhu in the drunken state last week. The incident irked Indhu's sister Sangeetha who thrashed Siva with a stick.

Siva was living with his wife Indhu under the Pursaiwakkam Doveton bridge for more than 15 years. Reports say that Siva would often get influenced by alcohol.

The habit made Siva lose his mind and beat his wife on a daily basis. One such incident had worried Sangeetha who went on to grab a stick and thrash Siva in Public.

The neighbors say that it was usual for Siva to get beatings from his sister-in-law Sangeetha for his notorious drunkard behavior. Probably the incident would have caught the attention of the camera for the first time.
